Monmouth County vinyl and stone siding remodel in Manasquan, NJ (1)The homeowner had been considering new exterior siding for their home in Manasquan, NJ for some considerable time. A sub-division in Long Branch of new high end homes; caught their attention because of the combination of stone and siding that offered great curb appeal. The homeowner needed a combination of Design Build expertise and residential remodeling experience. They knew they could not find that from a siding contractor or stone mason. They needed help with a Design that would transform their tired looking exterior into something that looked as though it was built just recently. Their research through the internet; led them to Mark of Excellence Remodeling, a Design Build Planners Preferred Network Remodeler. Before meeting with the Project Designer they checked the reputation of the company with the BBB where we have an A plus rating and were able to determine the company had been in business and completed hundreds of projects in Monmouth County over our 28 year history. On time remodeling project design consultation guarantee - Design Build PlannersIn April of 2014, New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, when asked about his continued tardiness for events and meetings, stated that being on time is not that important. Design Build Planners understands that your time is extremely valuable. If a DBP Project Designer is late for their first meeting of the day, regardless of the reason, they will pay the homeowner $1.00 for each minute past the scheduled project design consultation time. If your appointment is not the first of the day, Design Build Planners will contact you upon leaving the previous meeting to update you as far as the estimated time of arrival. This commitment to timeliness and professionalism is just one of many company policies designed to make homeowners remodeling experiences more professional and pleasant. Continue reading

When it comes to home remodeling projects how is “value” defined? First we must start with what is valuable or important to the individual family. In the opinion of the Design Build Planners, this trumps all other factors including resale value, equity, the neighborhood demographic. That is why we always start each initial meeting with a series of Project Profile questions that have nothing to do with construction. Topics include kids, pets, school, careers, travel…etc. The pros and cons of “moving versus improving” are also discussed up front. Then the other factors and actual construction are considered.
