We all want fresh vegetables, Right? Of course. We all want to eat as many organic foods as we can, right? Of course. The problem is some of us either don’t have time, don’t know how or just don’t want to worry about maintaining a garden.

What Are GMOs and Why You Should Avoid Them

GE stands for Genetically Engineered (GE) and GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO). Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) can be defined as organisms (i.e. plants, animals or microorganisms) in which the genetic material (DNA) has been altered in a way that does not occur naturally by mating and/or natural recombination. The technology is often called “modern biotechnology” or “gene technology”, sometimes also “recombinant DNA technology” or “genetic engineering.” It allows selected individual genes to be transferred from one organism into another, also between nonrelated species.
