Hi There, Fellow Gardeners!

As most of us know, maintaining our lawns and gardens organically can be laborious and time-consuming work. Since taking care (that some may call over-the-top) of the outdoor turf is important, we at Organic Gurlz Gardens have formulated a few natural remedies to help extract (literally) back-wrenching pain from the body.

Bee Sting:

What we do:

First, we take a freshly cut (This is important, since chemicals are being released) onion slice and press on wound for 45 minutes to hour.

This helps heal and reduce swelling and irritation. The time required may vary according to depth of stinger.

*We at Organic Gurlz Gardens suggest giving our little fuzzy friends space when first spotted. This lets them pollenate while we harvest.*

Knee and Back pains:

Along with being an acne fighter as well as anti-inflammatory, turmeric is great for helping aid joint pains. Many consume turmeric in a tea after working in the yard.

So go ahead and relax with turmeric on your porch or patio – you deserve it after all the back-bending work!

Allergies:

Don’t let the pollen and shedding fur get you down; eating veggies such as carrots, broccoli, and fennel along with a dose of fresh herbs can assist in combating allergies from pets to the garden!

Headaches:

Dehydration is a key reason why we get headaches and migraines. While an obvious (but sometimes negated) way to defend the body against dehydration is to consume water, eating “water” veggies such as celery and the o-so-fruity watermelon can help put your water level back in check.

Don’t forget to tell your kids, grandchildren , nieces and nephews about the Kids Oasis!
