This Branchburg, New Jersey family wanted to remodel their basement. While they wanted many of the customary features of a basement, they also wanted to add a residential elevator to suit their family needs. This accessible feature is a more common request than one might think. The Design Build Planners created designs for the basement remodel. To the right is a computer rendering of the front of the planned new home.
The homeowners drew their inspiration from basement remodeling projects featured on Houzz.com. The design options are a result of homeowners online research combined with an in-home consultation with Design Build Planners. There is also a proprietary profile checklist that homeowners fill out that depicts their lifestyle and room use. After compiling this information, Design Build Planners incorporates their construction knowledge and design creativity for the space with a focus on the budget and overall investment. Here is a sampling of some of their Houzz Ideabook pictures.
Below are a couple photos of the existing basement. Also below are the final computer designs floor plan layouts, as well as a 360 degree rendering created by Jason Parsons, a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler. Follow along with the project’s progress as photos will be added.
