These Monmouth county homeowners are ready to transform their kitchen. The 25 year old, 4,700 square foot home needs a kitchen that better reflects its $1,000,000 value. The plan discussed included removing a powder room and laundry room to make a larger room footprint allowing for a much larger island and more perimeter cabinetry. They hired Design Build Planners to create a luxury kitchen design.
The ten foot high ceilings provide the opportunity to utilize glass soffit cabinets and add detailed coffered ceiling molding. This design also features a marble back splash, large format floor tile, professional grade stainless steel appliances, upgraded lighting package, and a dine-at island displaying an unfitted design: cabinet and countertop materials different than used on the perimeter.
The homeowners style preferences were for a modern look and finishes. They drew their inspiration from kitchen projects featured on Houzz.com. The design options are a result of homeowners online research combined with an in-home consultation with Design Build Planners. There is also a proprietary profile checklist that homeowners fill out that depicts their lifestyle and kitchen use. After compiling this information, Design Build Planners incorporates their construction knowledge and design creativity for the space with a focus on the budget and overall investment.
At the top is a dollhouse overview of the project. Below are a couple of before photos of the existing space. Also below are the final computer designs created by Jason Parsons, a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler.
