This is AnnahMarie and Becca.
Today, Organic Gurlz Gardens of Fort Wayne, Indiana will be sharing the health benefits of their Kale and Blueberry Smoothie Recipe.
The smoothie fad has been snowballing ever-so rapidly over the past years. We at Organic Gurlz Gardens have recognized that with the potential of smoothie fusions being limitless, the health benefits are exceptionally widespread.
So, the question was pondered: Why exactly are vegetable and fruit devoted smoothies good for you?
Although a custard or other artificially flavored smoothie may sound delicious (and we must admit, it is), the “manufactured” smoothie lacks greatly in the benefits of the real, fresh food.
Despite the reputation of being “Blech”, certain smoothie combinations can taste scrumptious without wavering in its nutritious values!
Mixing fruits and vegetables such as Wheatgrass, Raspberries, Carrots, Beets and many others can give your brain and body a sturdy boost.
The right blender or juicer is more important than you may assume
As you may know, there are many blenders out there to choose from. Certain blenders may dilute the vitamins and minerals in your smoothie. While the cost may be great for your wallet, you could be losing precious nutrients; this pretty much eliminates the main idea of the drink.
Kale and blueberry treat
Today, our smoothie recipe will be featuring Kale and Blueberries. Before you start to blend, you may want to know these benefits –
Kale:
Almost everyone knows Kale is good for you; but what is the big fuss about?
Able to thrive in conditions even as intense as frost, Kale is a powerhouse green. In addition to helping fight off bacterial growth leading cancer, Kale is anti-inflammatory and swimming in Vitamins A, C, and K.
NOTE: Kale has short life span in terms of crispness, so we try to use the leafy green within several days of harvesting.
Blueberries:
Known for its dark blue color and rich antioxidant powers, blueberries can assist in lowering your blood sugar and blood pressure levels! Blueberries also contain vitamin E, thiamin, and copper. But that’s not all; the blue fruit helps reduce the risk of muscular degeneration!
That is a little piece of fruit with a HUGE punch!
Worried about the kid’s scooching those veggies away? Does the meal “accidently” fall off the kitchen table?
Although it seems close to impossible, we at Organic Gurlz Gardens have blended up a smoothie the whole family will love.
