They hired Design Build Planners to create the interior remodeling design plans. The computer aided design pictures for this project are from "Plan 1" which is known as the Robust Package.   • Half walls separate front (adults) and back (kids)
  • Powder room behind stairs
  • Closet storage (shallow) before utility room

  • Engineered wood floor in the front, carpet in the rear

All the cabinets, tile, fixtures, and molding were to be removed and replaced. Here is the overview of the kitchen remodeling design scope: Kitchen:
  • Move the entry to the dining room to allow for larger cooktop (36”)
  • Add tall cabinet with oven and microwave/convection oven combination
  • Relocate refrigerator
  • Remove pantry and install desk area and storage
  • Match upgraded casing for all windows/doors (exposed side) through all tile area
  • 5.25 “ colonial base
  • Narrow depth island with seating for two (single tier)
  • Corner cabinet with glass and appliance garage
  • Stacked wall cabinetry
  • Unfit design—painted perimeter, stained cherry island
  • 18” tile (diagonal installation) on floor through the foyer and powder room
  • Mosaic brick back splash
  • Quartz counter tops
  • Upgraded lighting

In addition, the shower area needed to be reframed. Here is the overview of the bathroom remodeling design scope: Master Bathroom
  • Remove tub deck and install a freestanding tub and floor mount spout
  • Rebuild vanity area (extending left side) with custom mirror surround (remove make-up area)
  • Demo shower wall and ceiling, re-frame ceiling to be more open (as drawn)
  • Glass surround for shower
  • Tile in shower on floor, on walls to the ceiling, and on the ceiling
  • 4’ tile on non-wet walls and around tub
  • 18” tile on the floor (diagonal installation)
  • Wood casing around window

The design options are a result of homeowners online research combined with an in-home consultation with Design Build Planners.
