Pomegranates:
Along with hold large amounts of vitamin C and bountiful antioxidants, pomegranates are said to assist with healing kidney stones. Since pomegranates are quite low in potassium, they are great to eat if experiencing renal problems. In simpler words, some renal problems are kidney failure and kidney stones. Pomegranates also helps strengthen the immune system and repair the digestive system.
Wild Carrots:
This herb isn’t your average carrot.
It is believed that wild carrots are used to treat digestion problems and help fight cancer. Wild carrots have been and are frequently used for treating kidney stones.
***The white root of the wild carrot SHOULD NOT be consumed. ***
Remember, don’t confuse this carrot for a, well, carrot!
This is a fruit to definitely put on the kitchen table.
Grapefruit has status as one of the most influential sources of antioxidants among fruits. The regular consumption of grapefruit can help you ward off a urinary tract infection.
So, along with helping kidney stones get better, you are helping your body protect itself!
Dandelions:
With a name that literally translates into “lion’s tooth”, dandelions are a great choice for aiding kidney stones. Along with being antiviral which impacts the kidney stones to become better, it acts as a natural diuretic to cleanse out the kidneys as well. Also, dandelions are rich in iron – about 1.7 milligrams in a cup of dandelion leaves rich!
So remember, this “weed” is so much more than a nuisance to your lawn or garden – it helps the body function properly!
Marshmallow root:
This plant doesn’t only exist by the campfire.
With a name that sounds like fluff, Marshmallow root is great for handling kidney stones! The roots of the marshmallow plant contain something called mucilages, which help with “un” inflaming the kidneys. In addition, the root may be able to stop and prevent further irritation.
Keep this fluffed-up root in mind when dealing with kidney stones!
