The Hazlet, New Jersey homeowners wanted to add another room to their home. They were looking for practicality and added home value. Collectively, it was decided that a great room addition that extended out 20′ The homeowners hired Design Build Planners to create designs for the great room addition in Monmouth County. To the right is a dollhouse overview of the project.
Thus, as a part of the Design Build Planners process, three design packages were created. Below are some existing pictures along with the scope of work for each of the three plans and the CAD images that correspond with them.
The homeowners style preferences were for a timeless look and finishes. They drew their inspiration from remodeling projects featured on Houzz.com. The design options are a result of homeowners online research combined with an in-home consultation with Design Build Planners. There is also a proprietary profile checklist that homeowners fill out that depicts their lifestyle and room usage. After compiling this information, Design Build Planners incorporates their construction knowledge and design creativity for the space with a focus on the budget and overall investment.

Plan 1 ~ MODEST
- Add a first floor addition approximately 20’ out, and 14’ across (just shy of the window)

- Add stone patio left side…approx 10 wide x 20 out
- Vaulted ceiling with exposed collar ties
- Use 6’ French glass doors to addition, shifted to reposition TV and add a sectional
