This design build and remodeling project transforms the back corner of the home’s first floor. The existing kitchen space is increased, by moving the powder room and upgrading it to a three-fixture bathroom, plus converting a bedroom into a mudroom. Moving the laundry area into the mud room creates space to re-frame and set cabinetry in place. This creates more floor space in the kitchen which then leaves room for an island with a bench seat to the table.
