This design and build remodeling remodeling project is located in New Providence, New Jersey. The design and development work was by Design Build Planners. The construction and remodeling by ProSkill Construction.
The Union County project consists of building an addition to the right side of the home for a new bedroom and closet configuration. Furthermore, the living room, dining room, kitchen and foyer area are to be remodeled.
Below is a complete scope of the remodeling project.
Kitchen
- Remove wall to dining area
- Open wall to living room (bearing header). Shifted to the right from plan 1
- Close kitchen doorway to hall
- New cabinets per plan, shifting appliances
- Add L-shaped island with seating to kitchen
- Granite counter top and porcelain tile backsplash
- New full glass rear door
- New lighting per plan
- Extend hardwood floor and finish to match as close as possible
Living room
- Vault ceiling and install exposed beam collar ties (four)
- Open wall to entry area
- New fireplace stone to ceiling, install wood mantle
Entry
- New Front Door
Bedroom Addition
- Add new space of approximately 18’ wide x 30’ deep to extend master bedroom, relocate two front bedrooms and enlarge size
- Add hall closet
- Reconfigure new, existing, closet, and bathroom space to new master suite
- Three-fixture bath with 36” x 48” custom shower with bench and niche, 60” vanity, toilet
- Frameless shower door
- Tile in shower
- Add new window to bathroom
- Solar tube in bathroom
- Walk in closet
- Add two new windows to master bedroom
- Large base and simple crown molding added to standard window and door trim
- Create linen closet in existing bathroom from remaining closet space
Family Room
- Convert two front bedrooms into new family room
- Vault ceiling in family space
- Exposed wood collar ties
- Two closets in family room
- Open wall to entry and hall
Exterior
- Replacement windows for all main house windows not affected by addition
- Wood siding painted to match existing as close as possible on new space
- Roofing to tie into existing and match as close as possible on new space
