Bathroom Remodel in Plainfield NJ

The pricing for the bid package is as follows:
  • Single room – $750
  • Multiple room or Basement – $1,250
  • Addition or Exterior space –  $1,950
    • Show elevation and roof lines – $2,700

This client in Plainfield NJ opted for this package. Below you will find the proposed design/floor plan and scope of work.

 

  • Demo walls to stud and subfloor (unless specified, leave mirror on wall at vanity and drywall in that area)

 

Option to remove mirror, cut it, and reinstall it

  • Remove partition wall and framing around toilet and from shower
  • Remove partition wall and door next to vanity
  • Remove closet in the front of the home
  • Fiberglass wall, ceiling and floor insulation
  • Frame in niche near toilet
  • Frame 36” high knee wall and the front and approx. 2’ of return wall for the shower
  • Frame bench in the shower
  • Optional niche in shower
  • Frame closet to the left of the shower-install door to match existing (wood 6 panel)

Option to install semi-custom or custom cabinets in this area to be designed and priced separately

  • Frame tub deck for drip in tub (ensure walkway between tub and vanity is 30”
  • Relocate drain for the tub as needed, and add a shower drain to the front of the home
  • Build a custom floor plan with standard curb at door in the shower
  • Frameless glass door surround
  • Tile on shower floor, shower walls to the ceiling, and shower sloped ceiling

Option to tile the flat shower ceiling

  • Tile tub area to 4’ high
  • Tile main area floor and as base trim
  • Install new vanity. Vanity design to be selected by the homeowner (suggest 21” depth for maximum walkway clearance)
  • New solid surface top for vanity, shower seat, and tub deck. Material to be selected by the homeowner
  • Install flush-mount medicine cabinet to the left of the vanity under the HVAC register
  • Install new tempered window over tub (vinyl replacement) with new wood trim
  • New wood trim for existing door, new door, and window
  • Electrical per plan or similar, final layout to be discussed with Client, remodeler, and electrician. Recommended recessed lights to be 4” LED.
  • Moisture resistant drywall throughout, cement board in shower, where tub tile is to be installed, and ¼” on floor

Optional “mud” floor application to be discussed with the remodeler and the client.

  • Paint with premium paint (Benjamin Moore or similar). Paint should be designed for bathrooms and sheen to be determined by the homeowner (note: application of some finishes, semi-gloss and above may incur additional costs)
  • Install jetted tub (suggested size 36” x 66”)
  • Install toilet in same location
  • Install handheld/wall mount faucet in shower
