Baseball opening day is not limited to the professionals in the Major League. Saturday, April 5th was opening day for the Cal Ripken Baseball League in Burlington Township, New Jersey. Design Build Planners is proud to be the sponsor of the Maryland Terrapin team comprised of five and six year old children in the low rookie league.
This is not just a random sponsorship. Gavin “Woody” Parsons (# 2) and Aidan Parsons (# 3) are on the Terrapins. They are the younger sons of Jason Parsons and nephews of Neil Parsons.
Jason lends some of his time as an assistant coach for the Terrapins and for his oldest son’s team, the Salem-Keizer Volcanos. Older brother, Connor Parsons (# 10), an eight-year-old, plays in the Burlington Township Cal Ripken Baseball minor league. Connor is trying his hand, or we should say arm, at pitching this year.
This particular Saturday was sunny, but cold and windy. The temperature did not cool off the warm hearts and bright smiles of the enthusiast baseball players and the ecstatic parents, family, and friends. PLAY BALL!
